Facebook has decided to make Hyderabad its first address in Asia, with plans to set up a centre in the city to support its growing number of users, advertisers and developers in India and across the globe. Facebook, which at last count had more than 400 million active users globally including over 8 million in India, announced on Monday that its Hyderabad centre would house online advertising and developer support teams and provide round-the-clock, multi-lingual support to the social networking sites users and advertisers globally. With this, Facebook joins other giants like Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Dell, IBM and Computer Associaties that have already set up shop.
