Micahael Duane Strain Government of country level

Michael Duane Strain, 52, of Lime Springs, Iowa, presented an officer with apostille papers concerning Posse Comitatus, a group that believes there is no legitimate form of government above that of the county level. The officer had stopped to speak with Strain at approximately 10 p.m. because his pickup had stalled at Oxford Street and Diagonal Road and was blocking traffic. The pickup was towing a horse trailer with eight horses inside. After Strain identified himself, he told the officer he needed a tow truck to get the pickup started. He said he was taking the horses to Oregon, then handed the officer the apostille papers. After speaking with dispatch, the officer learned Strain had two outstanding warrants for his arrest from Filmore and Olmsted countie While being transported to the law enforcement center, Strain told the officer he was “sovereign” and did not recognize statutory law. He also volunteered the information that he did not have insurance on his truck. At the jail, Strain allegedly refused to be booked into the jail because it would enable law enforcement to access his “treasury account” of $1 million and take his money. He also stated there was no common law saying he had to be booked in. He allegedly refused to shower or cooperate in any way.
