Advancements In Car Safety Features

Vehicle safety has become an important topic in those days. It is estimated that 70% of total deaths in India are due to traffic accidents. With this in mind, the car manufacturers are working hard to improve security measures for the driver and occupants. They have recently come up with various innovations and advances in car security. These innovations and progress can be found in most new cars.

Here are some recent improvements and advances in car safety features:

Stability Control: This helps to avoid vehicle accidents and function is regulated by electronic computer technology. It will also be functional when the driver loses control and directional control.

Antilock braking system: This helps prevent skidding by anti-lock brake on slippery and icy roads. This advancement in brakes are useful to enhance the governance and directional control. Anti-lock brakes (ABS) pump brakes automatically in case of a panic stop, so the driver can concentrate more on management.

Back up Sensing System: This advancement in safety and security features help to develop warning signals when any car or vehicle gets too close to the car is equipped with backup sensing system. The sensor is mounted in the rear part.

Airbags: These are very useful because they automatically form cushions to protect car occupants in case of car accident or accidents. These airbags are either mounted in the doors, rear seat back or front driver's seat.

Adaptive Cruise Control: The Innovation spent a long radar sensor to monitor the speed of the moving car under the car discovered within a certain distance. The system uses gas and brakes to maintain a safe distance between two cars or cars that run on roads.

Traction Control: This also works with the antilock brakes to prevent wheel locking, skidding and loss of traction.

Crash Resistant Door Pillars: This innovation is very high in case of side collision. The system helps to deflect the force of a side impact collision away from the head area and on the legs.

Crumple zones: Car makers have come up with functions where the car will curl up in a predetermined pattern to absorb collision energy by displacing the crash impact and deflect it from the cabin, keeping residents safe.

Headrests: This is one of the underrated features, but is absolutely essential. This feature helps to reduce head motion during rear impact crash. This reduces the possibility of neck injury. These are present in the front seats.

All-Wheel Drive: This allows all four wheels to maximize traction under high acceleration and prevents the car skidding or slipping.

Emergency Response: Different responses are required in various emergency situations. The emergency response system helps to reveal the cause and react accordingly. Depending on the emergency cause the system to automatically turn the interior lights, unlock doors, cut off fuel supply switches hazard lights and make crash details available to the driver in advance.
