Automobiles Report of new car buyers :

Total industry new vehicle sales fell by 19.5% year-on-year to 35 931 units in September, said the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers (NAAMSA) on Friday. When excluding sales from Associated Motor Holdings and Amalgamated Automobile Distributors â € "as a separate â €" sales decreased by 22.4% to 31 726 units compared to September last year, NAAMSA said. Car sales remain weak, which has been in decline for more than two years, knocked by soft domestic demand, although the number of decline is slowing, while a global slowdown have cut exports. Exports fell 49.3% in September to 13 974 vehicles. Data released last month showed industry sales of 29 667 vehicles, with 76.5% or 22 701 units corresponding to the retail, 14.5%, sales to car rental industry, 5.3%, sales to government and 3.7% sales into corporate automotive fleets. These figures were for sale for the month of August 2009th.
