Total industry new vehicle sales fell by 19.5% year-on-year to 35 931 units in September, said the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers (NAAMSA) on Friday. Data released last month showed industry sales of 29 667 vehicles, with 76.5% or 22 701 units corresponding to the retail, 14.5%, sales to car rental industry, 5.3%, sales to government and 3.7% sales into corporate automotive fleets. These figures were for sale for the month of August 2009th.
