Very soon Ford India will be launching its small car for sale in India. The Ford Figo will be the smallest Ford car in India. The car was unveiled in New Delhi in September 2009. It is expected to compete with the Maruti Alto and other small cars like Hyundai Santro, Tata Indica and others.The underlying technology is of the Ford Fiesta with which Indian consumers are familiar. The car is likely to be priced between Rs 3.5 and Rs 4.5 lacs. The Ford Figo will be available in the petrol and diesel versions. The petrol version has 70 to 75 bhp and the diesel engine will have a power of 68 bhp. The Ford Figo has a unique design with a sculpted bonnet, modern headlamps and an integrated spoiler. The car is designed for good performance and minimum air resistance while on the move. It is being launched in seven colors giving a wide choice to the consumers.
