Nascent Indian telecoms firm Unitech Wireless has awarded equipment contracts worth $200 million

each to Alcatel-Lucent (ALUA.PA) and Huawei [HWT.UL] as it builds its mobile network, the Financial Express reported on Monday, citing unnamed sources. A spokesman for Unitech Wireless declined comment, while an Alcatel-Lucent official could not comment immediately. A spokesman for Huawei could not be reached. Unitech Wireless, in which Norway's Telenor (TEL.OL) is taking about 67 percent stake, had given a nine-year outsourcing contract to India's No. 3 software firm Wipro (WIPR.BO), the firms said last week.
