Reminders in Playing Casino Games
Casino is a place for entertainment. It is full of very exciting games to play, and as well as the chance of winning large prizes. Most casinos have special bonuses, or comps, to their players which attract even more people out there to have fun in casinos. In similar ways, online casino websites now become a famous place for entertainment, especially for those who could not afford a time to go to brick and mortar casinos.
Casinos and online casinos may not be a good place for someone who do not know much, and even lead him to outstanding debts and bankruptcy. Therefore, it is recommended that you should have some guides in playing your favorite land-based and online casino games.
Preparations for Playing Casino Games
If it would be your first time, or at least know very little about casinos, then the most common thing to do is to ask questions to those experienced gamblers. You can also surf for more information about casinos and online casino sites in the Internet. This will help you in getting familiar with the atmosphere and the ambiance of the casinos. You can also take a tour inside an actual casino, and ask questions from other customers, but don't disturb them or be a nuisance in their play.
The next thing to do is to learn about the casino games, such as slot machines, blackjack, poker, craps, keno, bingo, baccarat, and their corresponding rules. You can do it by playing on free online casino games from numerous sites that offer free casino games software. This could help you in practicing and getting more familiarized with your casino games, for the rules applied in online casino games are very similar with those in the actual casinos. It is also important that you should know some techniques on how to win in a particular casino game. Don't hesitate to surf for the best casino game tips and strategies, you can find many of them in the Internet.
Setting Your Budget and Your Goal
When you think that you are ready to play the game, you can now go to the actual casinos. If you have time and location restrictions, then you can play on online casino websites for your convenience. The most important thing, and you must not forget, to keep in mind is that you should set your budget in playing in the casino. Set the amount of limit that you can afford to lose. NEVER BORROW MONEY JUST TO GAMBLE! If you can't afford it, then just play free casino games online for your recreation. Never also spend your money in gambling when it would result to grave consequences in case you lose.
Your main goal in going to the casinos should be for entertainment and leisure, not to make money. Never aim for unrealistic amount, such as aiming to win a million dollars in just one night. The chances of winning in every casino games are relatively small, that's why it is enough to set a realistic goal, such as making your money double or up to 5 times its amount.
Going to the Casino
One thing to remember is not to go in the casinos alone. It is best to have at least one trusted companion, whether a family member or a close friend in order to remind you if you are spending too much money or too much time in gambling. Always bring your watch to keep track of the time, for there are no clocks in the casinos in order to keep the customers unaware of time.
Be sure that your mind is in a healthy state. Never go to the casino when you are drunk or you are very tired in order to avoid errors in your decisions. Never also gamble when you are angry or depressed so that you can decide wisely.
NEVER BRING YOUR CREDIT CARDS in the casino in order to avoid spending too much. Just bring your alotted budget, and spare some amounts in your pocket in order not to go home empty-handed.
Playing in the Casino
It is best that you should know much, if not all, of the casino games and their rules, as well as the casino's advantages in each game. Never play games that you don't know much, for it could take your money away without knowing how can that happen.
You must also consider that there are chances of losing, so don't aspire that you will always win. Always HAVE FUN in every casino game you play. This must be your main reason for going to the casino.
Limit your time in every gambling session, and take frequent breaks in order to refresh your minds and avoid fatigue. Also avoid most of the distractions around you, such as sexy ladies passing by or phones ringing. It is best that you have your trusted companion hold your phone while you are playing.
Never also spend your money in one casino game. There are lots of games to try, each with different winning odds. If you feel you are losing in one game, then try your luck on the other one. Never also bet all your money in one go, although it has a high winning percentage. This could end up to you losing so early. Bet small amounts in order to stay longer and enjoy more in the casino.
When You are Winning
If you are in a hot winning streak, never become overconfident with your luck. Most of the casinos take this opportunity to persuade you to wage on bets with high payout percentages but with very low odds of winning, or with bets with very high house edge and take most of your money. If you want, you can occasionally wage on these bets, but don't wage too much on these. Apply the tips and strategies that you have learned in playing.
Always maintain a low profile, for you do not know the people around you if they are fostering dirty intentions or not. That's why it is a good idea to have a companion.
If you had won a remarkable amount, keep some in your pocket in order not to lose all. Never play with all the money you had won.
When You are Losing
If you sense that you had lost a considerable amount, never aim to win it all back. Just let it be and have fun. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. That's the basic rule of gambling.
Never ever try to increase your bets when you are losing. This could end up very bad, for it could take all of what you had worked hard to earn. If you feel that you are on a losing streak, then decrease your bets and wage more on bets with higher winning percentages.
You must also know when you have to quit. If the budget you can afford to lose had been already lost, then you must consider going home and try your luck next time. NEVER PLAY OVER YOUR LIMIT. It is not a good habit of trying to win back what you had lost. It could result to further losses and outstanding debts, so decide wisely.
It is wise to keep a record of your winnings and your loses in each casino game in order to know in what game you are good at, or what games have higher winning percentages for you.
Casino Comps and Bonuses
When the casinos offer you comps, don't ignore it. You should join in their comp programs and avail the VIP benefits. Never also ignore the entertainment options, such as a band playing music or some stage performers. Be also kind to casino crews who cater you with your freebies and spare some change or dollar bills for their tips. Consider also checking for casino websites in order to be updated with promotional coupons and more online casino bonuses.
Conclusion
It is best that you know much important information about casinos and casino games in order to experience the fun and the casino excitement. Keep a healthy state of mind and play strategically. Budget your money well and know when you have to quit and try a better luck next time.

Game Boy - Handheld Video Game Console for Tetris
Game Boy - Nintendo First Step to Gaming World
The Game Boy is the oldest hit game console of the Nintendo in the late 80's. The Game Boy is an 8-bit handheld video game device developed and manufactured by Nintendo. It was released in Japan on April 21, 1989, in North America on July 31, 1989 and in Europe on September 28, 1990. In Southern Asia, it is known as the "Tata Game Boy". It is the first handheld console in the Game Boy line. It was created by Gunpei Yokoi and Nintendo's Research and Development 1—the same staff who had designed the Game and Watch series as well as several popular games for the NES.
The Game Boy was Nintendo's second handheld system following the Game & Watch series introduced in 1980, and it combined features from both the Nintendo Entertainment System and Game & Watch. It was also the first handheld game to use video game cartridges since Milton Bradley's Microvision handheld console. It was originally bundled with the puzzle game Tetris.
Despite many other, technologically superior handheld consoles introduced during its lifetime, the Game Boy was a tremendous success. The Game Boy and Game Boy Color combined have sold 118.69 million units worldwide. Upon its release in the United States, it sold its entire shipment of one million units within weeks.
The Game Boy Console
The Game Boy's main controls for playing games are located on the lower half of its front frame. The Game Boy has four operation buttons labeled "A", "B", "SELECT", and "START" as well as a directional pad. The functions of these buttons vary from game to game. There is a volume control dial on the right side of the console and a similar knob to adjust the contrast on the left side. A sliding on-off switch, as well as the slot for the Game Boy cartridges are located at the top of the Game Boy Normally, users leave the cartridge in the system as recommended by Nintendo to prevent dust and dirt from entering the system.
The Game Boy most Popular Game
Tetris is a puzzle video game originally designed and programmed by Alexey Pajitnov. It was created on June 6, 1984. While versions of Tetris were sold for a range of 1980s home computer platforms, it was the hugely successful handheld version for the Game Boy launched in 1989 that established the reputation of the game as one of the most popular ever. Electronic Gaming Monthly's 100th issue had Tetris in first place as "Greatest Game of All Time". In 2007, Tetris came in second place in IGN's "100 Greatest Video Games of All Time". It has sold more than 70 million copies.
Xbox - The Microsoft Video Game Console
Xbox - The Microsoft Video Game Console
Xbox - Complete History of Xbox Series
The Xbox is a video game console produced by Microsoft. It was Microsoft's first step into the gaming console market, and competed with Sony's PlayStation 2, Sega's Dreamcast, and Nintendo's GameCube. The integrated Xbox Live service allows players to compete online. The name for the Xbox was originally the Direct X-box as it came from a group of Microsoft Direct X developers, but later changed to Xbox after focus testing. Popular launch games for the console included Dead or Alive 3, Amped: Freestyle Snowboarding, Halo: Combat Evolved, Fuzion Frenzy and Project Gotham Racing.
The Xbox Release Date
The Xbox was released on November 15, 2001 in North America, February 22, 2002 in Japan, and March 14, 2002 in Australia and Europe. It is the predecessor to Microsoft's Xbox 360 console. It was discontinued in late 2006, although the final Xbox game (Madden NFL 09) was released in August 2008. Support for out-of-warranty Xbox consoles were discontinued on March 2, 2009, although in-warranty repairs will still be done.
The Xbox Console
The Xbox was the first major console to yield a hard disk drive, used primarily for storing game saves compressed in ZIP archives and content downloaded from Xbox Live. This eliminated the need for separate memory cards (although some older consoles, such as the TurboGrafx-CD, Sega CD and Sega Saturn had featured built-in battery backup memory prior to 2007). An Xbox user could rip music from standard audio CDs to the hard drive, and these songs were used for the custom soundtracks in some games.
The Xbox Technology
The Xbox was the first gaming product to feature Dolby Interactive Content-Encoding Technology, which allows real-time Dolby Digital encoding in game consoles. Previous game consoles could only use Dolby Digital 5.1 during non-interactive "cut scene" playback.
The Xbox Hardware
The Xbox is based on commodity PC hardware and is much larger and heavier than its contemporaries. This is largely due to a bulky tray-loading DVD-ROM drive and the standard-size 3.5 inch hard drive. The Xbox has also pioneered safety features, such as breakaway cables for the controllers to prevent the console from being pulled from the surface it rests on.

Atari 2600 - The Second Generation Video Game Console
Atari 2600 - Video Computer System
The Atari 2600 is one of the oldest Video game console. The Atari 2600 is also known for its hit video game Pac-Man. It is a video game console released in October 1977. It is credited with popularizing the use of microprocessor-based hardware and cartridges containing game code, instead of having non-microprocessor dedicated hardware with all games built in. The first game console to use this format was the Fairchild Channel F. The Atari 2600 is credited with making the plug-in concept popular among the game-playing public. The Atari 2600 was wildly successful. During the 1980s, "Atari" was a synonym for this model in mainstream media and, by extension, for video games in general, similar to "Nintendo" and "PlayStation" in the later 1980s and 1990s respectively.
Originally known as the Atari VCS — for Video Computer System — the machine's name was changed to "Atari 2600" in 1982 following the release of the more advanced Atari 5200. The 2600 was typically bundled with two joystick controllers, a conjoined pair of paddle controllers, and a cartridge game—initially Combat and later Pac-Man.
The basic layout of the Atari 2600
The layout of Atari 2600 is fairly similar to most consoles and home computers of the era. The CPU was the MOS Technology 6507, a cut-down version of the 6502, running at 1.19 MHz in the 2600. The 6507 included fewer memory address pins —13 instead of 16 and no external interrupts to fit into a smaller 28-pin package.
The Console of Atari 2600
The console had only 128 bytes of RAM for runtime data that included the call stack and the state of the game world. There was no frame buffer, as the necessary RAM would have been too expensive. The video hardware gave the 2600 a reputation as one of the most complex machines in the world to program, but those programmers who understood it realized that such direct control over the video picture was also a source of flexibility.
Additionally, the 2600 supported several types of input devices (joysticks, paddles, keyboards, etc.) and third-party peripherals, and many of these peripherals were interchangeable with the MSX and several other Japanese systems. In some cases, it is possible to use the Atari joysticks with the Sega Master System and Mega Drive/Genesis, though functionality may be limited. However Master System and Genesis controllers work quite well on the 2600.

Playstation - Fifth Generation Video Game Console
The PlayStation is a 32-bit fifth generation video game console released by Sony Computer Entertainment in December 1994. The PlayStation was the first of the PlayStation series of console and handheld game devices, which was first created and released in Japan. Successor consoles and upgrades include the Net Yaroze, PS one, PSX, PocketStation, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, and the PlayStation 3. On March 31, 2005, the PlayStation and PS one reached a combined total of 102.49 million units shipped, becoming the first video game console to reach 100 million. As of July 20, 2008, the PlayStation has sold 102 million units. Sony ceased production of the PlayStation on March 23, 2006, over 11 years after it was first produced.
Launch of PlayStation
The PlayStation was launched in Japan on December 3, 1994, North America on September 9, 1995, Europe on September 29, 1995, and Oceania in November 15, 1995. The launch price in the American market was US$299 and Sony enjoyed a very successful launch with titles of almost every genre, including Battle Arena Toshinden, Warhawk, Air Combat, and Philosoma, and Ridge Racer. Almost all of Sony's and Namco's launch titles went on to spawn numerous sequels.
The PlayStation was also able to generate interest with a unique series of advertising campaigns. Many of the ads released at the time of launch were full of ambiguous content which had many gamers rabidly debating their meanings. The most well-known launch ads include the "Enos Lives" campaign, and the "U R Not e" ads. It is believed that these ads were an attempt to play off the gaming public's suspicion towards Sony as an unknown, untested entity in the video game market.
Playstation Functions
The Playstation console, in addition to playing games, has the ability to read and play audio CDs. The CD player has the ability to shuffle the playback order, play the songs in a programmed order, and repeat one song or the entire disk. This function, as well as a memory card manager, can be accessed by starting the console without inserting a game, therefore accessing a system menu with a dark blue background and buttons that are designed like rainbow graffiti. If a game is put in the system at any time on the menu, the game will immediately start.

Baccarat Basics
Baccarat is one of the most popular card game which is found in casinos worldwide, with its own playing area in the casinos. Baccarat as an online casino game is also still popular at most online casino websites. The game is played similarly both on online and brick and mortar casinos. It is usually played by two persons, and casino customers can bet on three options: the "Banker", the "Player", and the "Tie", which is checked by a croupier.
Baccarat Objective
The winner of a single deal is determined by the values of the two players' hands. In order to win, the hand value must be as close to 9 as possible. If you have a value of 9, then the only option is either to win or tie.
A hand value can be obtained by adding the values of all the cards in hand modulo 10 (the commonly used operator for modulo is %). This means that after adding the values, the result is divided by 10 and then the remainder will be the result. For example, 8 + 6 = 14, and 14 % 10 = 4 (if we divide 14 by 10, the answer is 1 with a remainder of 4). This also means that the tens digit is dropped, leaving only the ones digit. Therefore, the highest value which can be obtained is 9, and the lowest is zero which is termed as "baccarat". Oddly enough, the game is named after the worst value of a hand.
How to Play Baccarat
Here is the most common way on how to play the game. Cards 2 to 9 have values according to their numbers. Cards 10 and the face cards (J, Q, K) are all worth zero, while an Ace card is equivalent to 1. A hand can only have two or three cards. For example, a hand consisting of 6 and an Ace is equivalent to 7 (6 + 1 = 7). A hand with 3, 9, and 5 has a value of 7 (3 + 9 + 5 = 17, 17 % 10 = 7). These two hands have similar values.
The banker will deal one face-down card to the player, then one to himself, then another one to the player, and then another one to himself, resulting to both of them having two cards each. Depending on the value of their hands, each of them can either draw an additional card or stand pat. Basically, the player can draw an additional card if his initial hand value is 5 or less. If the initial value is 6 or 7, then he makes a stand. If either one or both of them have a hand value of 8 or 9 on the initial deal, then no further cards are drawn. This situation is called "natural".
Baccarat Betting Options
Players other than the ones playing as "banker" and "player" can also place their bets. The options are "Banker", "Player", and "Tie".
The term "banker" does not refer to the one who deals the cards nor the house. It is the situation in which the one who deals the cards wins. Even payout, or 1:1 is applied if this situation wins. However, there is a 5% deduction for the house commision.
The term "player" is not the player who plays against the dealer but the situation in which he wins against the dealer. Even payout is also applied for those who win this bet.
The term "tie", as it suggest, is a situation when both have the same amount of card value at the end of the deal. If this situation wins, then the bettors are paid at 8:1 ratio.
Baccarat Banker Strategy
Playing Baccarat mostly requires luck. When you are at the player position, you should definitely draw a card if your hand has an initial value of 5 or lower. If it is 6 or 7, then make a stand. However, this doesn't guarantee your win though. But when you are playing as the banker, then strategy is required in order to win. Here are some pointers depending on the situation of the opposing player:
- The player did not draw a card - stand if his hand value is 6 or 7, or draw if it is 5 or lower
- The player drew a 2 or 3 - stand if his hand value is 5 to 7, or draw if it is 4 or lower
- The player drew a 4 or 5 - stand if his hand value is 6 or 7, or draw if it is 5 or lower
- The player drew a 6 or 7 - stand if his hand value is 7, or draw if it is 6 or lower
- The player drew an 8 - stand if his hand value is from 3 to 7, and draw if it is 2 or lower
- The player drew an ace, 9, 10, or any face-card - stand if his hand value is from 4 to 7, or draw if it is 3 or lower
Baccarat Variations
- The one discussed above applies to the Punto Banco, or the North American Baccarat variation. Punto refers to the Player and Banco refers to the Banker. Bettors will declare "Punto" if they are betting on the player, and will declare "Banco" if they are betting on the banker. The term applied for a tie is "Egalatie". This is also termed as the "regular" baccarat. Most online casino baccarat applies this variation.
- Mini Baccarat is a variation which is played on a smaller table, the size of a Blackjack table. Up to seven players can play against a croupier who also acts as the banker. Regular baccarat tables has three dealers who take the bets to ensure that the rules are followed. The betting limits are lower in this variation.
- Chemin-de-fer is a French version. Its rules are almost the same as the regular baccarat, except when the player acting as the Banker loses a hand, the next player will become the banker. This continues on and the state of the "Banker" travels around the table, similar to a train running on a railroad, which suggest the name of the variation. Chemin-de-fer means "railroad" in French.
- Baccarat en Banque is another French variation. Unlike in the regular variation, a player is dealt with two hands, and the bettors are allowed to choose from the two hands on where to place their bet. However, they can't place their bet on the banker. Another difference is that only the casino can handle the position of the banker.
- Private Baccarat is a variation in which the banker has the option to deal the player with either one or two hands. The player will decide whether he will be dealt with one hand, like in regular baccarat, or he can play two hands. If the player chooses two hands, this is termed as a cheval, and he must win both hands in order to win the deal. If he can only win one of the two, then it is a tie.
- Super Pan Nine is a variation in which all the cards with values of 7, 8, 9, and 10 are removed from the deck. Both the banker and the player are dealt with 3 cards each. Either of them can make a choice whether to draw an additional 4th card or to stand with just the 3 cards. It is common that they will draw a 4th card if the initial hand value is 4 or lower.
Baccarat is used on so many popular culture. Did you know that the first version of the James Bond movie Casino Royale in 1967 features the game Baccarat? It is only replaced by Texas Hold'em poker in the recent 2006 movie version because of the currently great popularity of Texas Hold'em at the time of filming. In the film Rush Hour 3, Detective James Carter (portrayed by Chris Tucker) attempts to play baccarat in a casino in Paris, but he mistook the card game to be a Blackjack game. The dealer warns him that the game is Baccarat when he asks for a third card. Later on Carter got a hand with three Kings and he cheers happily because he again mistook the rules to be of poker. The value of his hand only evaluates to zero, which causes him to lose.
Baccarat is a very exciting game, and the rules are simple and easy to remember. You must be lucky enough to obtain the lucky 9 and win the deal.

Features of Nintendo DS
Below are the some features of Nintendo DS -
* The Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection
It is a free online game service run by Nintendo. Players with a compatible Nintendo DS game can connect to the service via a Wi-Fi network using a Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector or a wireless router.
* Download Play
With Download Play it is possible for users to play multiplayer games with other Nintendo DS systems using only one game card. Players must have their systems within wireless range (up to approximately 60 feet) of each other and the guest system to download the necessary data from the host system.
* PictoChat
PictoChat allows users to communicate with other Nintendo DS users within local wireless range. Users can enter text , handwrite messages or draw pictures. There are four chatrooms (A, B, C, D) in which people can go to chat. Up to sixteen people can connect in any one room.
* Compatibility
The Nintendo DS is backwards compatible with Game Boy Advance (GBA) cartridges. The smaller Nintendo DS game cards fit into Slot 1 on the top of the system, while Game Boy Advance games fit into Slot 2 on the bottom of the system.
* Regional division
The Nintendo DS is region free in the sense that any console will run a Nintendo DS game purchased anywhere in the world. With the addition of the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, certain games can be played over the Internet with users of a different region game. The Nintendo DSi, however, will have region block for the DSiWare downloadable games, and perhaps DSi-specific cartridges. It still will run older DS games of any region.

The Booth Company Celebrates 30 Years with Task Cycle® Surveys
Boulder, CO (PRWEB) September 1, 2009 -- For 30 years The Booth Company has been the leading international consulting distributor of Clark Wilson’s Task Cycle® surveys. On August 31st, The Booth Company celebrated its 10th year as the majority owner. The late Clark L. Wilson, a fellow in the American Psychological Association (APA), is the acknowledged originator of multi-rater (“360”) feedback instruments for leadership and management development. Survey of Management Practices, the first in the battery, was published in 1973 and quickly utilized by DuPont, Dow Chemical, Pitney Bowes and other leading US firms to assess its high potential leaders and move them forward with professional feedback and coaching. Within a few years he published “Multi-level Management Surveys: Feasibility and the Initial Applications” 1975 which detailed the scientific basis of the surveys. This captured the attention of other executive development specialists and academics. Dr. Daniel Booth’s consulting firm in Boulder, which was using his own 360 feedback surveys with major corporations, quickly replaced them with Task Cycle® surveys and created a worldwide distribution network with Dr. Wilson.
Daniel Booth, CEO of The Booth Company, states that “we were the intellectual heirs of the Task Cycle® surveys, and we celebrate almost 40 years of data collection around the surveys. We are proud to be of service to the business community with these surveys.”
In the past ten years, The Booth Company has updated Dr. Wilson’s original surveys and currently maintains a battery of 13 surveys based on the Task Cycle®. The Task Cycle® comprises six sequential phases that are relevant to managing and leading for change. These 360 feedback surveys cover every turn of the leadership pipeline, from executives to individual contributors. Dr. Wilson’s first survey, The Survey of Management Practices, remains The Booth Company’s most requested survey. In addition, The Booth Company has customized and created additional surveys for special applications for unique clients. Surveys have been translated from English into 12 languages. And, academic researchers have published at least 15 technical papers validating the surveys.
Among its other accomplishments, The Booth Company has certified hundreds of senior coaches and built a new scoring platform to host the proprietary surveys along with other publishers’ assessments.
About The Booth Company
The Booth Company publishes and administers 360 degree feedback surveys based on the Task Cycle®, a validated theory of leadership and management roles. Its comprehensive set of surveys measure the fundamental skills of mission-critical organizational roles, including executives, first-line and middle managers. The survey results are compared to continuously updated industry and country norms. Since 1972 The Booth Company has distributed its surveys and feedback workshops internationally through corporate universities and an exclusive network of certified senior executive coaches.
For clients utilizing their own survey content, The Booth Company offers flexible survey hosting, as well as statistical and psychometric consulting. It also provides advanced reporting opportunities, with a variety of aggregate reports ideal for group benchmarking and strategic planning purposes.

Online Games - The New Technology of Game
Online Games - The new evolution of Game
Online gaming is a technology or a mechanism for connecting players together rather than a particular pattern of gameplay. They are played over some form of computer network, now typically on the Internet. One advantage of online games is the ability to connect to multiplayer games, although single-player online games are quite common as well. Online games can range from simple text based games to games incorporating complex graphics and virtual worlds populated by many players simultaneously. Many online games have associated online communities, making online games a form of social activity beyond single player games.
The Evolution of Online Games
The rising popularity of Flash and Java led to an Internet revolution where websites could utilize streaming video, audio, and a whole new set of user interactivity. When Microsoft began packaging Flash as a pre-installed component of IE, the Internet began to shift from a data/information spectrum to also offer on-demand entertainment. This revolution paved the way for sites to offer games to web surfers. Most online games like World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy XI and Lineage II charge a monthly fee to subscribe to their services, while games such as Guild Wars offer an alternative no monthly fee scheme. Many other sites relied on advertising revenues from on-site sponsors, while others, like RuneScape, the games made by Artix Entertainment and Mabinogi, let people play for free while leaving the players the option of paying, unlocking new content for the members.
First Ever Online Game
During the 1990s, online games started to move from a wide variety of LAN protocols and onto the Internet using the TCP/IP protocol. Doom popularized the concept of deathmatch, where multiple players battle each other head-to-head, as a new form of online game. Since Doom, many first-person shooter games contain online components to allow deathmatch or arena style play.
Online Games Future
As the World Wide Web developed and browsers became more sophisticated, people started creating browser games that used a web browser as a client. Simple single player games were made that could be played using a web browser via HTML and HTML scripting technologies (most commonly JavaScript, ASP, PHP and MySQL). More complicated games such as Legend of Empires would contact a web server to allow a multiplayer gaming environment.
The development of web-based graphics technologies such as Flash and Java allowed browser games to become more complex. These games, also known by their related technology as "Flash games" or "Java games", became increasingly popular. More recent browser-based games use web technologies like Ajax to make more complicated multiplayer interactions possible.
